MEET THE HORSES

Carrissimo
"Cosmo"

Cosmo is a really well schooled fine gentleman. He knows more than most of us put together!

Cosmo will be retiring at the end of the Fall session. His owner Linda Taylor wants to retire him to their Middleburg Farm. We have been so lucky to have a horse of his skill level. We wish him and his family the best.

Smokey Joe
"Joey"

Joey is a new addition to the school. He's a quiet, reliable horse with enough style and sparkle to win great ribbons at horse shows.

Harley Street or
"Champ"

Champ is one of the two founding horses of our program. He has an extensive resume of "A" horse shows and many dressage shows. He is our beginner specialist.

Zorro

This gelding was the second foundation horse of PRP. He has since been sold to a new owner in Florida and now shows under the name Black Forest.
Chester Peak

Chester is a former foxhunter and show horse. This gelding has taken many of the PRP riders to blue ribbons in equitation classes this past summer in both local and recognized shows.
Ringo

Ringo has been at PRP for 2 years. He has taken PRP riders to shows winning good ribbons. Ringo is also an extremely nice trail horse and a wonderful jumper.
Central Park

An experienced show horse, who joined the team in 2006. He has carried many students to Chapionship & Reserve ribbons throughout this past summer.
Rogan

Rogan's barn name is Roy. He joined us this past summer from an eventing background. He has already won several Championship & Reserve ribbons for PRP students.
Pecan

A foal of 2001, Pecan is our youngest show horse. In his first year of showing had many Championship & Reserve ribbons with PRP students.
Hector

A former fox hunter who is enjoying his work as a lesson & show horse. He's a wonderful ride for our bigger students.
In The Chase

This QH/Paint pony had been a PRP schooling horse, but was purchased by Melissa Mahone. Here they are pictured at a show where they happened to win Champion Pleasure Horse. In The Chase will show in Green Pony Hunter in 2008.
