Central Park

An experienced show horse, who joined the team in 2006. He has carried many students to Championship & Reserve ribbons throughout this past summer.
Chester Peak

Chester is a former foxhunter and show horse. This gelding has taken many of the PRP riders to blue ribbons in equitation classes this past summer in both local and recognized shows.
Comic Art
(Spiderman aka Spidey)

Spidey competing at Upperville side-saddle, he has several championships at "A" shows in the side-saddle division. He was a steeplechase horse and an open jumper before trying the Working Hunter division and side-saddle.
He was added to the PRP program this summer and is doing well.
Hector

A former fox hunter who is enjoying his work as a lesson & show horse. He's a wonderful ride for our bigger students.
Pecan

A foal of 2001, Pecan is our youngest show horses. He came to PRP in 2006. In his first year of showing had many Championship & Reserve ribbons with PRP students. Pecan won Reserve Champion ribbons in 2007 and 2008.

RoxBoro

RoxBoro, is by Aristos B, the sire of RoxDene. RoxBoro has won ribbons at hunter shows in VA and NY, has hunted in Maryland, and done well cross-country in short trials. He has a sweet temperament and is nicely forward without being fast. He is also good on trails, alone or in a group.

Smokey Joe
"Joey"

Joey is a new addition to the school. He's a quiet, reliable horse with enough style and sparkle to win great ribbons at horse shows. Joey won two pleasure classes at his first show for PRP with a student at her very first horse show.

PRP Sorrento
"Frankie"

PRP Sorrento (Frankie) has been added to the roster of lesson horse. Frankie is a 17.2h TB with good ribbons in rated hunter classes and multiple ribbons in local shows.

A Sad Farewell



Prime Scout
Died of colic on 10/11/09

Prime Scout joined our roster of lesson horses to give students a high quality show horse to compete with.

He was the winner of the 2008 Working Hunter series championship
at the Timothy C Hanley $12,000 horse show

Scout was a home bred TB out of one of the few mares to finish the Maryland Hunt Cup, The Virginia International Gold Cup and The Virginia Gold Cup. She was 6th in the Maryland Hunt Cup, 4th in the International Gild Cup and 5th in the Virginia Gold Cup.

He last showed on the 12 of September, 2009 and won the working hunter stake class at the last Fox Chase show over 21 entries.

Rogan

Rogan's barn name is Roy. He joined us in 2007 from an eventing background. He has already won several Championship & Reserve ribbons for PRP students. In 2008, he pinned in the hunter ring and won in the equitatiion ring at an "A" rated show at Commonweath Park.

Congratulations to Lane Brindley on her purchase of PRP Rogan, now named Boyfriend, and best of luck in the future.

Carrissimo
"Cosmo"

Cosmo is a really well schooled fine gentleman. He knows more than most of us put together!

Cosmo retired the fall of 2007. His owner Linda Taylor wanted to retire him to their Middleburg Farm. We were so lucky to have a horse of his skill level. We wish him and his family the best.

In The Chase

This QH/Paint pony had been a PRP schooling horse, but was purchased by Mellissa Mahoney. Here they are pictured at a show where they happened to win Champion Pleasure Horse. In The Chase will show in Green Pony Hunter in 2008. Also in 2008, Chase won championships in affiliated Virginia shows as well as winning in the Pony Jumper division at an "A" rated show at Commonwealth Park.

Harley Street or
"Champ"

Champ is one of the two founding horses of our program. He has an extensive resume of "A" horse shows and many dressage shows. He is our beginner specialist.

Champ has been retired to Hickory Grove Farm in Haymarket VA with former PRP school horse Big Bear. They are enjoying a brand new run in shed, 7 acre field, and pond.

Ringo

Ringo has been at PRP for 2 years. He came to PRP from the Foxchase lesson program in 2005. Ringo has taken PRP riders to shows winning good ribbons. Ringo is also an extremely nice trail horse and a wonderful jumper.

Ringo Star has been retired to the home of former PRP student Helen Marmoll who will continue to love him and trail ride him. Ringo retires still healthy and sound.

Zorro

This gelding was the second foundation horse of PRP. He has since been sold to a new owner in Florida and now shows under the name Black Forest.
